Required Equipment
Browser
- Microsoft Explorer 5.5 or later; or
- Netscape 6.0 or later
Browser Plugins
- Adobe Reader 6 or higher which is available free
- Macromedia Flash Player 7 or higher, also available for free
Internet Connection
- Minimum connection speed is 56K (if you are using a 56K line, some Flash movies will load slowly)
- DSL, cable, or T-1 line is highly recommended
Screen Resolution
- 800 x 600 - 1400 x 1050
- The courses are designed to be displayed on a screen set at 800 x 600. They will fill the whole screen at that resolution.
- If your monitor is set at 800 x 600, you may need to slightly resize your screen to display the entire page, depending on how you have configured your desktop.
- If you are using a screen with a resolution greater than 800x600, it is a good idea to maximize the window or close the other windows so that you don't have distractions on your desktop. The default size of the window displaying the course gets progressively smaller on screens set at resolutions of 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024, and 1400 x 1050.
Login Difficulties
Network firewalls may block access to the E-Learn Libraries course site. If you log-in and all you see is a blank page close your browser, disable your firewall software, and then try to log-in again. If that doesn't work, email techsupport@elearnlibraries.com.
